Ernest Cialone holds a BA from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, and an MFA in painting from the University of North Dakota in 1983. After teaching at Jamestown College in 1990, he accepted a position at what would later become UA-Fort Smith the following year. Since the late 90s, Cialone has concentrated on the graphic arts of drawing and printmaking. He has instituted several new classes for the university’s studio art program in that field including artistic anatomy and upper-level classes in relief, intaglio, and screen printing.
